Today my bestie and I flew to Melbourne for our friends Jess and Jaramy's engagement party. We treated it as a girls weekend with lots of shopping, food and funny moments! This is Jess, the soon to be Bride...

Ive got into the girly thing lately, and I'm so drawn to anything that has:

• flowers

these are my latest purchases...a flowery dress and a pearl and flower necklace!

Went for a walk and a catch-up with my bestie Brooke and stopped by the lake in the Adelaide parklands. So pretty in Autumn with all the trees turning. So many cute ducks too!

You can actually hire these little row boats which were pretty popular the day we were there so I took the opportunity to include them into my shot.

Lest We Forget

The 25th April is Anzac Day and we went to the dawn service at North Terrace with Lukes Nanna and Grandpa to pay our  respects to those who have fallen serving Australia and New Zealand.

Anzac Day is also my sisters birthday so we went and hung out with her and her husband and had a little family get-together for dinner. So jealous - she gets a public holiday for her birthday every year.

It was a beautiful morning, with a perfect sunrise, filled with emotion and pride...

After attending Church and having a nice Easter Sunday lunch with Luke's family, we headed over to our friends house for dinner. We found Rhi making these amazing mini pavlovas! They were delish!

Today we visited my sister and her friends Soki and Michael also visited with their baby Lianna Jessie. She was so alert and sooo cute! Also managed to get a little smile out of her. She is 5 weeks old.

My sister is also expecting a little one later in the year and I can't wait until I get to hold and play with him/her!

So my first day got off to a slow start - I forgot the most essential part to this project - my camera!

But alas did a little still life study - how cute (and delicious!) are these cherry tomatoes!

The Begining...

So beginning today I will be starting my very own photography project 365! By taking a photo a day for a year, I hope to:

• Learn about all the buttons on my camera
• Learn more photography technical skills
• Try new techniques
• Open my eyes to the world around me
• Find beauty in simple things

It's going to be wonderful, challenging and fun - I can't wait!
