Photographed this little guy today - he is the most gorgeous baby! Was quite nervous about photographing him because it was only my second portrait sitting AND he's a baby. But he was an absolute gem to work with and so much fun.

The days are getting shorter and the weather getting colder...this is what my mornings look like...

On my new morning route there is this gross gum tree...that has come out in the most amazing blooms! It has just about finished as all the flowers are starting to lose their colour. I luckily managed to get this shot this morning - just as my battery decided to give up! yahoo :)

So after approaching people in the street and asking to take their photo (or taking their photo and THEN asking them if it was ok, hehe) I decided to get business cards to look a little more legit. Ordered them a few weeks ago and am super happy with the results! The girls at Discount Printing were super helpful :).

Bought my first photography prop today - this chair. $40 from a second hand shop near us! Now I just have to wait a few weeks till I have one of my photoshoots to use it!

Cocolat - every chocolataholics paradise! Caught up with a friend for coffee and couldn't resist sneaking outside and taking a quick snap of the coloured lanterns - so pretty!

Baked these babies for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at my baking skills as my prowess in the kitchen is very lacking!! Lemon meringue cupcakes.....

When I got home today my boy had bought me a present. Fully wrapped with price sticker removed :).

So not that many people would get excited over an external hard drive but I loved it - now I have a backup for all my photos.  So here is the pressie in all it's unwrapped goodness.

Got my boy out for my first photoshoot today. Was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to get many good shots but found my mojo and was really happy with what I got. This is one of my faves from the day...

Visited my sister Bridy's house over the weekend and thankfully due to her lack of cleaning caught this little cobweb. My first photo of this sort so I got super excited that the light was actually hitting the web so I could capture it. So, its not my best shot but when I see it I remember my excitement.

We moved office today!! Leaving behind this office door for a brand new office building is exciting but bittersweet after having sooo many memories from my first years of professional working life behind these doors.

Things I can't wait for in the new office
 - The amazing heating (no more freezing butts when us girls visit the bathroom)
 - No more buckets on the floor from leaking ceilings
 - Having a huge breakout room where we can actually fit people in
 - Being able to see out windows
 - New coffee machines (hopefully they come sooner rather then later...)
 - Not having files covered in dust every morning and having to wipe them down
 - Being able to take clients to nice meeting rooms
 - The HUGE TV screens some of the rooms

Came across this burst balloon on my way back to the office after lunch.

I was imagining this was from a small child losing their ballooon in the wind. It looked so unloved and sad...

Why is it that balloons look so full of life when blown up but so sad when deflated?

Gotta love an athletic event where they need to provide buckets in case of over-exertion!!

The girls from work and I thankfully avoided the need to use them at the LifeBeInIt Corporate Tri Challenge today and bet our previous calorie count - Yahoo. The tri-challenge is just like a stationary triathlon where we ride stationary bikes for 3 weeks, then run on treadmills for 3 weeks and then onto the rowing machine. So much fun!

Dinner out with the girls for our monthly catch up went from Mexican to the Elephant Walk and eating these HUGE mountains of waffles and icecream!

This arvo I got inspired and vowed to finish off a canvas which I prepped about 10 months ago! I was super unhappy about the blue acrylic I had mixed for the background as it wasn't quite what I was after. So I white washed it and now its ready for creativity to begin. Stay tuned for the finished result.

We went horse riding on the last day of the course. My horse Zac was adorable, even though I had a problem finding his accelerater pedal, and we were mates by the end!

Today I headed off to a work conference in Torquay. Pretty interesting start to our journey, with our flight being delayed, my friend Deb and I being called to board over loudspeaker and then the guy transferring us from Tullamarine to Torquay lost his Tarago in the airport carpark! Found a lady bug on my jumper today, firstly thought it might have been dead but then started running all around the kitchen. I got super excited I was jumping around trying to find my camera, change to my macro lens and find my new flash, while yelling at Luke to come and hold the ladybug so I could photograph it before it flew away.

So we took it outside and I snapped away like a mad woman as it was walking all over Lukes hand and jumper. It flew away and I wanted some more photos as ALL the ones I had got were bad, so we were running around our driveway, laughing and chasing after this poor little lady bug (Im sure the new neighbours thought we were a bit nutty!).

Soooo hard to manually focus on a moving bug! This is the only decent pic I got...

Went into the city with our cameras Sat night and I originally came across these two guys walking along with their guitars. I asked them if they would mind me taking a couple of shots of them walking down Rundle Mall and they weren't too fased by it all.

Then later as we neared the other end of the mall we saw they were busking 'There are our friends' we laughed. So we took a few more shots of them and talked for a bit, got their email and will email them some better shots once I've properly edited some. Only did a quick edit for this...

I'm finding it pretty hard to take a photo a day during the week now that it's getting darker and the only things I seem to see are on my walk from my car to work and back again!

Walking out of our back car park at work, this is the back gate and laneway view... Played around in PhotoShop with a few actions.

It was taken with my p+s so it's not fabulous but I like the reds and greys in it.

After a big weekend seeing family and friends we travelled home to Adelaide. Coming through the Adelaide hills there was a gorgeous sunset. My camera was in the boot of the car so I took this shot on my camera phone. Excuse the dirty car and mirror!!

Visited our Grandparents on Saturday. They live on the beachfront with a view of the bay and the bad weather! This is my Pa, Jack - the much loved patriach of our family.

Travelled down to Mt Gambier today for my Aunties wedding celebrations. Stayed the weekend at my parents house and took the opportunity to grab some shots with my macro...My parents live on a farm just out of Mt Gambier and was so nice to get away from the city, this was taken at the top of their driveway

Went out tonight after work down our street with my macro lens and my assistant Luke! It was right on dusk so we hurried down the street and took some photos. Only used my macro and an off camera lens (held by my trusty assistant!).

Pretty pleased with the result and I love the lens. This is my favourite shot it's unedited (only resized), love the colour and the soft petals in the centre of the rose.
